Romosozumab

Romosozumab is a monoclonal antibody that inhibits sclerostin, a protein that negatively regulates bone formation. By blocking sclerostin, romosozumab increases bone formation and decreases bone resorption, making it a valuable treatment for osteoporosis and improving bone density, which is crucial for longevity and reducing fracture risk in aging populations.
