Deferoxamine

Deferoxamine is an iron-chelating agent primarily used to treat acute iron poisoning and chronic iron overload. By binding excess iron, it reduces oxidative stress and inflammation, which are linked to aging and various chronic diseases. Its role in longevity is being explored due to its potential to mitigate iron-induced cellular damage.
